Independance Day
Independence Day 2026, celebrated as a national event at Govt. Graduate College of Science, Multan, will be held on 14 August 2026 to commemorate the independence of Pakistan and honor the sacrifices made for the nation's freedom. The event aims to inspire patriotism, strengthen national unity, and encourage students to appreciate the values of independence, peace, democracy, and responsible citizenship.
The celebration will begin with the national flag hoisting ceremony followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran, the National Anthem, and speeches highlighting the significance of Pakistan's independence and the vision of its founding leaders. Students and faculty members will participate in patriotic activities, including speech competitions, national songs, poetry recitations, tableaus, quizzes, cultural performances, and exhibitions reflecting Pakistan's history, achievements, and rich heritage.
The event provides students with an opportunity to express their love for the country while developing confidence, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through active participation. It also encourages young people to recognize their responsibilities in contributing to the nation's progress through education, innovation, discipline, and social responsibility.
